Duty Visits
Under the "one country, two systems" principle, Hong Kong has the distinctive advantages of enjoying strong support of the Motherland and being closely connected to the world. Having direct access to the huge Mainland market and strong international connectivity at the same time, Hong Kong serves as a bridge linking the Mainland and the rest of the world. Capitalising on these advantages, together with Hong Kong's traditional strengths such as being a free, open and diversified global metropolis, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) strives to reinforce our position as an international financial centre and to better integrate into the overall development of the country.
The HKSAR Government proactively visits different countries and regions to promote Hong Kong's strengths and opportunities, telling the world the good stories of Hong Kong. These duty visits will help strengthen mutual understanding, connection and co-operation between our city and other places, contributing to a more prosperous Hong Kong. Hong Kong, the Pearl of the Orient, will shine brightly, and brighter than ever, making our country and our citizens proud while catching attention from the rest of the world.
