Mr CHEUK Wing-hing, GBS, JP, Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration

Mr Cheuk joined the civil service as an Inspector of Police in 1981, and became an Administrative Officer in 1984. He rose to the rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade A1 in 2017 and retired as Permanent Secretary for Innovation and Technology in 2019.

Mr Cheuk has served the Government and the people of Hong Kong for over 40 years. In particular, he has made major contributions to the administration of food and environmental hygiene, labour affairs, and the development of innovation and technology.

After his retirement, Mr Cheuk was appointed variously as Chairman of the 2019 Administrative Officer Recruitment Board, Director of the Dialogue Office, Director of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme and Adviser of the Financial Secretary's Private Office.
