The Honourable Joseph YAM Chi-kwong, GBM, GBS, JP

Aged 75. Mr Yam is currently Member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited and Distinguished Research Fellow and Member of the Management Committee of the Lau Chor Tak Institute of Global Economics and Finance at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He had a public service career of over 38 years, dealing mainly with monetary and financial affairs. He was the first Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority from 1993 to 2009. Mr Yam was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal in 2009.
