On the way to a luncheon speech two days ago during my visit to London, I passed by The Mall near Buckingham Palace. Along the tree-lined avenue large national flags of China and the United Kingdom were hung in preparation for President Xi Jinping's visit. In the golden sun of autumn, the scene was both solemn and colourful. Our group stopped and my colleagues got out of their cars to capture the moment with their cameras.
