Visiting Sha Tin Lunar New Year Fair
This afternoon, my wife and I went to the Lunar New Year Fair at Yuen Wo Playground in Sha Tin to share the festive mood with the public and stallholders. The fair was busy today, with many children and young people who were just off from school, as well as elderly people who had finished buying groceries. To my surprise, I even came across a former schoolmate from King's College! Although I stayed there only for a short while, I took the opportunity to talk with people so that I could know more about their lives. Finally, my wife and I bought four plants - gladiolus, liatris, Yokohama bean and kumquat - from four stalls for $878 in total.
I cherish the time spent in the community. Talking with the public has always been enlightening and inspiring to me. I will take every opportunity to keep in touch with the public through different channels.
Chinese New Year is a heart-warming festival. As all 7 million Hong Kong people are one big family, we should care about those people in need in society, as well as our family and friends, on this joyful occasion.
I wish you all a warm and happy Chinese New Year.
