Our Team

"Putting people first" and serving as "Chief Executive for the people" is my vision and mission. Over the past month, I and my team of Secretaries of Departments and Directors of Bureaux made visits to 18 districts for face-to-face communication with residents, to understand their sentiments and to foster mutual trust, so that the general public may also know more about our governance philosophy and the officials who serve them.

Today, a full month after the establishment of the new Government, we have uploaded a booklet entitled "One Heart, One Vision for the People" to the Chief Executive's Office website to introduce the three Secretaries and 17 Principal Officials in my team. In a light-hearted tone, the booklet presents profiles of these 20 familiar and new faces, telling little anecdotes about their lives and childhoods, and even sharing some small secrets unknown to the public at large.

You may find bits and pieces of yourself in these articles. Indeed, these officials are just like every one of us - they all grew up in neighbourhoods like ours, shared similar experiences and sentiments, and have also strived and worked hard every day for the best for themselves, their families and Hong Kong.

I hope this booklet can serve as a starting point from which can you get to know more about my team, and that you will continue to give us advice and monitor our work.
